Honest answers
When does Caselaw Singapore launch?
2027. The Part B Bar product is the wedge — 500–600 candidates a year, two sittings since 2025, today served by SILE materials and LawNet. We open the waitlist now to lock launch pricing.
Where do the case briefs come from?
Singapore is restrictive: eLitigation gates court records (robots.txt 403), LawNet is institutional. Strategy: brief-only redistribution from public materials — SSO statutes (https://sso.agc.gov.sg) plus a manually-curated set of ~500 most-cited Singapore authorities, with neutral citations and link-back to the source. AI briefs are generated only from public material.
How is this different from LawNet?
LawNet is the institutional research platform — full-text search, raw judgments, S$72.33/yr student. Caselaw is a study tool — concise briefs, casebook-mapped notes, AI tutor, Part B mock papers. Different product, different price point. Use both.
What's in the Part A / Part B bundle?
Part B is the wedge: post-LLB Bar exam administered by SILE. Part A is for overseas qualifiers. The bundle (S$399 single, S$599 both) includes mock papers, model answers, AI grader and a Bar-syllabus-tuned tutor.
Is the platform PDPA-compliant?
Yes. Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) plus the DPO mandatory-from-1-June-2025 rule. We publish a DPO contact and process all data on a privacy-by-default basis.
What about PayNow / non-card billing?
Stripe SGD with GST 9% (IRAS) is primary. PayNow doesn't currently support recurring subscriptions; we offer annual invoiced billing for users who can't run a card on file.
