Live now · ConCourt + SCA briefs

Built for the new Board exam. R69/mo. Pay-per-brief R5.

ConCourt, SCA and provincial High Court briefs sourced from SAFLII (with ai-train=no honoured), casebook-mapped LLB notes and Board mock papers ready for the March 2027 first sitting.

The wedge

2026 has no Board sittings. 2027 is the first under the new structure. Perfect window to ship.

South African LLB has ~12,000 entrants/yr and ~4,500 admissions/yr. UNISA alone has 25,000+ enrolees — distance, mobile, asynchronous. The current SaaS landscape is thin. We're using 2026 to seed Board exam mock papers, casebook notes and curated ConCourt/SCA briefs ahead of the first sitting under the new structure in March 2027.

  • Curated ConCourt + SCA + provincial High Court briefs
  • Casebook-mapped LLB notes (Hutchison · Neethling · Currie & De Waal)
  • Mock Board exam papers + model answers (March 2027 ready)
  • Mobile-first build for UNISA distance learners
  • POPIA + April 2025 amendments compliant
  • Pay-per-brief R5 floor — no one priced out

FAQ

Honest answers

Why launch in 2027?

2026 has no Board exam sittings under the new structure — first sitting is March 2027. That's the perfect window to ship complete prep content. We're seeding the LLB content + Board exam mock papers in 2026 and opening the waitlist now.

How much will it cost?

R69/mo or R599/yr — Pro ZA, full library. Plus pay-per-brief R5 for non-subscribers, because the South African market needs that price floor. We'd rather have you pay R5 once than not access a brief at all.

Where do the case briefs come from?

SAFLII (https://www.saflii.org) is the spine — but their robots.txt explicitly blocks ClaudeBot, GPTBot, anthropic-ai and Google-Extended (ai-train=no). We honour that: non-AI UA, 1 req/2sec, attribution, never train on bulk dumps. LawLibrary (https://www.lawlibrary.co.za) is the friendlier alternative. ConCourt and SCA judgments come direct from court archives.

Is the platform POPIA-compliant?

Yes. POPIA + the April 2025 amendments. Penalties for breach reach R10M, so privacy is a first-class engineering concern. Hosting is on Supabase EU-WEST with a deletion path on user request and minimised retention.

Will UNISA distance learners get extra support?

Yes. UNISA has 25,000+ enrolees alone — bigger than every other ZA law school combined. The product is built mobile-first and asynchronous, which suits UNISA students without contact lectures.

What about local payments?

Stripe ZAR primary plus PayFast / Yoco fallback for local card schemes. Pay-per-brief at R5 means even users without a recurring subscription can unlock individual content.
