On August 16, 2001 Rosemarie Millar filed her bill of costs on behalf of the defendant and asked that it be assessed without a personal appearance by the parties. As no written submissions were received within the deadlines specified by the Registry, we will proceed to assess the bill of costs of Her Majesty the Queen. [2] As taxable services Ms. Millar claimed the following items: item 2 4 units item 7 3 units item 10 3 units item 11 2 units item 13(a) 3 units item 14(a) 2 units item 25 1 unit item 26 4 units All these claims seem reasonable in the circumstances and will be awarded. [3] The disbursements to be assessed are proven in the affidavit in support of the bill of costs and are awarded in the amount of $2,807.25. The defendant's costs are allowed and assessed in the amount of $5,852.25. A certificate of assessment will be issued for this amount.
