On May 7, 2003, Sébastien Gagné, counsel for the Department of Justice, filed the respondent's bill of costs and asked that it be assessed without a personal appearance by the parties. As the applicant has made no written submissions within the deadlines specified by the Registry, we will proceed with assessment of the said bill. [2] Assessable services under items 5 and 6 and the services rendered under items 25 and 26 are awarded. Additionally, the photocopying costs claimed for the entering of the respondent's motion in the record seem to be reasonable as well. [3] The respondent's costs will accordingly be assessed and allowed in the amount of $1,825.00. A certificate by the assessment officer will be issued for this amount.
