The essay question

Can it ever be legitimate for a country to wage war on another country?

The plan

Stance

Yes — but only when war satisfies the entire moral architecture of Just War Theory: legitimate cause (jus ad bellum), just conduct (jus in bello), and just peace (jus post bellum). A war that fails any of these loses legitimacy.

Jurisdiction focus: UN Charter (Art 51 & 39–42), Geneva Conventions, Responsibility to Protect (2005 UN Summit). Built for ~750 words.
