Stance: AGAINST (public figures should not have the same level of privacy rights as ordinary citizens).

Definitions
- Public figures: Individuals who, by choice or role, hold positions of public influence (politicians, celebrities, high-ranking officials, business magnates).
- Privacy rights: Legal and moral claims to control over personal information, home life, communications (ECHR Art. 8).
- Same as ordinary citizens: Equal, undifferentiated rights — i.e., a politician would have the same shield as a private citizen.
- Framing choice: Here, "same" means undifferentiated. The essay will argue that public interest requires limits to privacy for public figures.
