I have had the advantage of reading the judgments of Hale and Arden LJJ in draft. I agree with Arden LJ that the father's appeal from the decision of Singer J should be allowed and that the court should order the return of the children the subject of the application to New Zealand. I agree also with the reasons which Arden LJ has given for this conclusion. However in view of the very great importance of our decision for those involved I add the following observations of my own.
