This decision is given under section 11 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007:
The decision of the Bristol appeal tribunal under reference 186/07/01237, held on 22 October 2007, did not involve the making of an error on a point of law.
These are the reasons for the Upper Tribunals decision, to which we have both contributed.
This case concerns the child support maintenance payable in respect of Georgia. Her father is, in the language of the child support legislation, her non-resident parent and her mother is her parent with care.
The case began as an appeal by the parent with care to an appeal tribunal followed by an appeal by the non-resident parent to a Child Support Commissioner with the leave of Mr Commissioner Jacobs (as he then was). The proceedings were transferred to the Upper Tribunal under the Transfer of Tribunal Functions Order 2008 (SI No 2833 of 2008). This has not affected our decision.
