ASSESSMENT OF COSTS – REASONS MICHELLE LAMY, ASSESSMENT OFFICER [1] This is an assessment of the respondent party's bill of costs following a judgment rendered February 28, 2006, dismissing the appeals with only one set of costs. [2] On July 17, 2006, I gave the parties a schedule for serving and filing their written submissions. As no submissions have been filed to date, I shall now proceed with the assessment of costs in accordance with the documents of record. [3] Fees are set in the amount of $1,339.82 for services rendered under sections 19 (5 units), 22 (2 units X 1.583 hours), 25 (1 unit) and 26 (2 units) of Tariff B. I have reduced to 2 the number of units for the assessment of costs since this was a simple and uncontested case. Costs in the amount of $185.69, which have been proven by affidavit, are allowed as claimed. [4] In the light of the above, the respondent's fees are set in the amount of $1,525.51, a certificate is issued for this amount in docket A-680-04 and a copy of the reasons therefor is inserted into docket A-681-04.
