[1] The Applicant seeks an order quashing the decision of a Visa Officer dated July 17, 2000, rejecting her application for permanent residence in Canada. [2] The Applicant argues, and the Respondent admits, that a reviewable error occurred in the Visa Officer's administration of the language proficiency assessment in that the Visa Officer did not conduct a full reading assessment. I see no reason not to exercise my discretion to act upon this error. O R D E R [3] Accordingly, I set aside the Visa Officer's decision and refer this matter to a different visa officer for redetermination. (Sgd.) "Douglas R.
