The case originated in two applications (nos. 40774/02 and 4048/03) against Ukraine lodged with the Court under Article 34 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (“the Convention”) by two Ukrainian nationals, Mr Igor Yevgenyevich Solovey and Mr Anton Valentinovich Zozulya (“the applicants”), on 27 March 2001.
