Among the documents he provided the Asylum Service with, there were photographs from the demonstrations that took place in Cyprus and which show the applicant organising, coordinating and leading the demonstrations that took place in the Republic. Consequently, his name has been connected with anti-regime demonstrations and with a negative stance toward the existing government of Syria. In addition, as an activist, the applicant is considered a person who causes problems to the Syrian authorities.
