The case originated in an application (no. 62171/00) against the Slovak Republic lodged with the Court under Article 34 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (“the Convention”) by a Slovakian national, Mr Milan Lancz (“the applicant”), on 29 August 2000.
